Purim is a festive holiday celebrating the salvation of the Jewish people in the time of Esther. The celebration includes reading the Megillah, dressing up in costumes, and sharing gifts of food.

• Megillah Readings: Join us for a spirited reading of the Megillah, where we remember the story of Queen Esther and the salvation of the Jewish people! Megillah readings are available at Chabad AU, on campus at American University, and can be brought to your home, school or office upon request.

• Purim Party: Join us downtown for the Great Purim Party, DC's premier Purim celebration. Then, continue the celebrations the next day with Purim2Go, your one-stop-shop for megillah reading, matanot leevyonim, mishloach manot, and Purim meal. 

• Mishloach Manot: Chabad AU distributes beautiful mishloach manot throughout the community. If you would like to add a friend or neighbor to our list, just reach out.
